Guess what was found when our crew replaced an old sewer at our construction site?
We discovered the remains from the old trolley line that ran down the center of the street.
Buried under King Street, you can see wood! Trolley use was at a high point in 1914 when there were more than 14 million individual paid trips! The tracks were pulled up right after World War II when buses and cars began replacing trolleys as the main means of getting around.
